The contractor explained the actions to the Agriculture Minister, the General Director, the Deputy Mayor and the representatives of the Irrigators
On the morning of Tuesday, a visit was made to the works that are being carried out in the irrigated areas of Huerta Alta and Huerta Baja to carry out a modernization of the irrigation system with which to optimize the use of water, guarantee a good distribution and ensure the least possible loss of this scarce asset so important.
This visit had a remarkable representation of both the political representatives and those of the irrigators and farmers, with the presence of the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Miguel Ángel del Amor, also of the General Director of Water Sebastián Delgado, to whom the Mayor of Pliego, Pedro Noguera, greeted previously before his meeting in the Ministry of Social Services.
Also there was the Lieutenant of the Mayor of the Municipality of Pliego, Maravillas Martínez, and prominent members responsible for the Community of Regantes de Pliego, with its president Martín Jiménez.
This delegation was received at the foot of the works of sectors 1 and 2 by members of the contractor company, who showed the pace of the actions and explained each of the technical issues they are facing to ensure the best water supply in these important areas of the plain of Pliego.
