The previous ordinance was from 1998 and it has to be adapted to both the new needs and current regulations.
The deputy mayor of the Municipality of Pliego, Maravillas Martínez, this week has held a meeting with the merchants of the Plaza de Abastos to hear proposals to improve this site and report the steps being taken by the town council for the preparation of a new ordinance for said place.
Martinez informed that the municipal technicians had warned of the lag of the previous ordinance of the Plaza de Abastos, which was approved in 1998 and that, therefore, a new wording should be made that meets the current needs of a public and commercial space, and that also abides by current regulations.
The deputy mayor of Pliego said that "the feedback between proposals, needs and opinion of the merchants has been very positive and we will deliver the draft of the new ordinance text so that they can analyze it beforehand and make amendments to try to correct issues as to provide new approaches that better govern this important commercial and social space of the municipality.
