The new web of ecotourism promotion was presented this morning by the President of the Commonwealth, Pedro Noguera, accompanied by the rest of the mayors and councilors of the commonwealths (Aledo, Alhama, Librilla, Mula, Pliego and Totana) and the General Director of Natural Environment.
The presentation took place in the new headquarters of the Tourist Association of Sierra Espuña in the municipality of Pliego.
The website has been the result of collaborative work being carried out in the territory around the Sierra Espuña Regional Park and in which conservation associations, groups of businessmen and public entities are involved.
The project has been financed by the Commonwealth of Sierra Espuña as an action within the Action Plan of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and has also collaborated with the Regional Park of Sierra Espuña.
"It is an unprecedented information portal in our territory, because it shows the relevant information for those who visit us from a regional point of view, regardless of whether the resources and attractions are located in a municipality or other," the President of the Commonwealth, that defends that this integral perspective, with image of destiny, is a demand of the visitors.
One more step upwards
The day ended with a meeting between the mayors and the Director General of the Natural Environment.
In it the councilors have requested information from the head of the regional government on the status of the analysis being carried out by the council for the possible protection of Sierra Espuña as a National Park.
An analysis that was initiated at the request of the Commonwealth request made to the Autonomous Community in June 2017. The director has informed the mayors of their good vibes with the file already applauded that the municipalities and the regional government are rowing in the Same address regarding the declaration of Sierra Espuña as a National Park.
