The delegation of our region contributed waters of the river Espuña in this fair of nature, climate and sustainable tourism that is being held at IFEMA
The mayor of Pliego, Pedro Noguera, participated yesterday in Madrid on the opening day of Expotural, the Nature Tourism and Sustainable Tourism Fair that will be held until next Sunday at IFEMA.
Noguera attended as president of the Commonwealth of Tourism of Sierra Espuña during a day focused on the responsible consumption of water management in our area is made of this resource.
In the inaugural event, which consisted of an act with Buddhist ritual in which the different national and international representatives delivered a vessel of water from their rivers, coincided the mayor of Madrid, Manuela Carmena;
and the mayors of Vall de Boi, Les Val D'Aran, Ainsa, Somiedo and Puebla de Sanabria, among many others, joining Costa Rica, the United States, New Zealand, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Kenya.
In addition to a question as important for Pliego as it is water, there will also be time to publicize the town as a place of tourist interest.
And it is that Expotural is a Fair that will receive thousands of visitors in search of a tourist destination that respects the Environment.
Noguera recalled that "the region of Sierra Espuña is for many years very involved in promoting responsible tourism" and has taken the opportunity to make known in Historical Expotural heritage sites as the archaeological sites of La Almoloya and La Bastida, in addition to promoting the excellent natural environment, the calm tourism of interior and the historical and patrimonial wealth that the municipality and the region have.
