He was surprised in a closing device of population, of which he fled and was stopped thanks to the joint action of the helicopter and land patrols of the Benemérita
The arrested person weighed a judicial claim of search, arrest and imprisonment for a pending case in Portugal
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of services established to prevent citizen safety, has located and detained in Pliego a Portuguese citizen on which there was a European arrest warrant initiated in the court of Portugal for a pending case .
Staff of the Citizen Security Unit and the Air Service of the Benemérita coordinated to carry out several devices in the region of Rio Mula with the aim of ensuring citizen security.
In one of these devices, specifically a closure of population developed in Pliego, the agents detected how a vehicle approaching one of the control points made a sudden change of direction and took flight at high speed of the place.
The ground patrols and the Civil Guard helicopter, alerted by the imminent flight, followed up on the vehicle through the town center and its suburbs until it reached a dead-end road.
His driver then left the vehicle and fled on foot by entering a canefield, where he tried to hide.
The civil guards began a strike in the area, supported by the air service of the Benemérita, which concluded shortly after with the location of the escaped driver.
After identifying the fugitive from the control, the agents carried out the relevant checks and found that on this one weighed a European order of detention based on a requisition issued by a Portuguese court for a pending case, reason why they proceeded to their arrest.
The Portuguese arrested, 39 years old and resident in Pliego, along with the investigations, has been made available to the competent judicial authority.
