The Department of Celebration opted for participation through a democratic vote of the supporters clubs in the Festival Committee held yesterday night where the San Isidro clubs agreed to advance the celebration a week
In this way, a citizen initiative is gathered, supported by the supporters clubs, which foresees a greater participation of the student sector
On Thursday night, the council of festivities brought together the Festival Commission to address different issues of the organization of the next San Isidro.
One of the most important points to discuss was taking into consideration an advance of the dates of the celebration that emerged from a citizen movement that everyone considered important to listen to.
Under the criterion of participation and to give more decision to the supporters clubs that support the maintenance of these holidays, the councilor of festivities Vanesa Rodríguez proposed the realization of a vote after the previous debate on the issue to democratically decide the proposal to advance the celebration of San Isidro to Saturday May 12.
As already happened with the organization of the festivities of 2017 as well as different festivals and Christmas events, it is advocated to give greater decision to this plural and open commission with the aim of making parties more participatory and more rooted with all the sectors of the municipality.
We are already working on the organization of the event on May 12, date that is expected mainly a greater participation of young students who will have more temporary space for the period they face a few weeks later with important final exams.
