The works to reform the water installation of the municipal swimming pool promoted by the Municipality of Pliego have been started with the aim of reducing water consumption and optimizing the resources of this recreational site.
This action is the main action that a report made by Aqualia a few months ago and pointing to that different measures in the municipality had led to save up to 60% of consumption in the last year.
This report, endorsed by the technicians of the City Council, was welcomed by the municipal government to employ measures to optimize water consumption in the notable leaks in the pipes of the renewed water to the municipal pool, something that could lead to savings close to 75% of the current consumption of the pool with what this implies in terms of sustainability and economic savings.
Precisely, the reform in the pool was one of the proposals that most supported the neighbors in the process of Participatory Budgets 2018 a month ago, an action that was also recommended by the Commonwealth of Taibilla Channels, an organization that is beginning to promote restrictions of water consumption in the face of the current drought.
This investment promoted by the Municipality of Pliego has the positive component of improving the facilities and also taking advantage of the resources that are available, since it is taking advantage of a Youth Employment Plan in it.
