They are balanced budgets that reach € 2,873,000 and give priority to social policies, public services and municipal facilities
The Municipal Government of Pliego has already delivered to the rest of the Political Groups the preliminary draft Municipal Budgets for 2018 and has established a deadline to be able to integrate those contributions that enrich it, all with the objective of reaching the greatest possible consensus for its approval.
The amount of the new budget project reaches the figure of € 2,873,000, standing at figures practically similar to the previous year, fulfilling the necessary budget balance in relation to the available municipal revenues.
This new budget includes one of the major priority projects such as the adaptation of the premises to house the Day Center for the elderly, in addition to providing more support for social policies and citizen participation, greater provisions for the improvement of infrastructures and municipal services, as well as an increase in the games related to sports.
In fact, one of the most important items, and that is reflected for the first time in municipal budgets is the inclusion of 32,600 € for the 3rd Age, whose purpose is to finance the adaptation of the aforementioned infrastructure for the Day Center, as well as as the realization of activities.
Another of the most significant increases are in the heading of infrastructures, which will increase from 176,000 to 223,000 € with which new vehicles, new machinery will be acquired and money will be allocated for the proper conservation of municipal infrastructures.
In employment and training another qualitative leap is made, allocating a total of € 220,000 for the employment workshop, as well as to invest in an employment workshop to remodel the laundry with the aim of converting it into the Interpretation Center of the Sima de The FIG tree.
Regarding the chapter on municipal works, the new budget includes the Works and Services Plan with an economic amount of € 168,095, consisting mainly of the contribution of the Autonomous Community to which is added the own contribution of the City Council, in addition to contemplate economic endowments destined to reforms to adapt the Sociocultural Center.
Precisely spending on programs related to culture have a budget of close to € 30,000 to promote in our town everything that is related to our local culture, so that it is planned to allocate € 17,100 for the Music Group and some € 11,000 to other associations and entities.
On the other hand, spending on festivities will be maintained at the same figure as in the previous year, this is € 90,000, appealing to creativity, imagination and citizen collaboration as a fundamental element with which to continue improving the holidays.
Finally, the commitment to sport from the City Council entails a total of € 62,778 for both the proper maintenance of sports facilities and to help sports associations.
