The works are part of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Area as defined in the municipality within the Regional Plan 2009-2012 Housing
The Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, will invest a total of 579,650 euros for the rehabilitation of a hundred houses in the Mudejar Pliego, within the area bounded comprehensive rehabilitation in the municipality within the Plan Regional Housing 2009-2012.
The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said the regional government "intends with this type of action to revitalize and preserve neighborhoods Murcia, improve the quality of life for residents and contribute to employment generation in the short term different municipalities in the region. "
Antonio Navarro explained that this action "was recognized for its importance in preserving the cultural identity of Tender, as the area under the action falls within the old town."
In this area are Water Street, running through it, and the main monuments of the town, as the parish church of Santiago, the Almazara Santiaguista, the Clock Tower, the Fountain of the pipes and the Ermita de los Remedios.
The project, part of the agreements over the past housing bilateral commission meeting between the Government of Murcia and the central executive, is framed between two great public spaces in the town, such as the Plaza Mayor and around the Square the Town Hall and the park of Las Cañadas.
Among the activities planned is the refurbishment of roofs and facades of the houses that, for the most part, are single family, to preserve the original aesthetics of buildings.
Similarly, we will work on energy saving, the tightness of the buildings and improved interior functionality.
It is also planned renovation of public space and increasing accessibility in the environment through the design of pavements, the burial container or the adequacy of wired and urban infrastructure.
The works, which will be developed in four installments through 2014, supported the three governments, regional, central and local levels.
