The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, along with the mayor of Pliego, Isabel Toledo, today opened the first virtual office employment in the region in this county, in order to provide better service to its citizens and not have to travel to the employment office Mula for the usual formalities and procedures related to job demands.

This virtual office, the first starts in the region, is located in the new building of the local employment center, and from there users can perform various steps such as renovating telematic applications for employment, high or low in unemployment, job consultation or training courses, among others.

It is staffed by three officers, and equipped with eight computers and three classrooms to offer personalized attention and a class action aimed at training or career counseling.

Sotoca Constantine said, "This project will contribute to more readily available to citizens for information and advice about the working world" and stressed the importance in these times of crisis help the unemployed all the services that the administration gives to its service.

In this regard, said that "plegueros perceive the improvement and the proximity of this new office" that will serve a population of 3,400 inhabitants, of whom about 650 are job seekers.

The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment has plans to launch six other virtual offices like this, in municipalities that do not have employment offices, such as Cotillas Towers, San Pedro, Santomera, Fuente Alamo, Puerto Lumbreras and Beniel.

Sotoca recalled that her department also assisted in the rehabilitation and equipping of new Local Employment Center which houses the new virtual office, with investment reaching € 100,000.

Sotoca also stressed the economic effort made by the Regional Government in the town of Pliego in employment and training whose investment exceeded in the past year, the 450,000 euros.

An investment, said the owner of Employment "means an employment opportunity for 80 workers."
