Pliego City Council is committed to the study of the importance of geology in shaping landscapes and environments of natural value as a means of promoting alternatives to traditional rural tourism from geological tourism.
So, we are developing a project funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development through the LEADER aid - Integral, Society for Local Development, under the name "Study of the importance of geology to landscape configuration Pliego ".
Field work is helping to identify new sites of geological and paleontological interest and are being conducted by company geologists management of geological heritage GeaLand.
