During the visit, the president said he "represents a significant opportunity for youth to access housing," because, he said, the sales prices ranging from 92,488 euros for the houses of 89 square meters of floor space and 62,040 euros for a 53 square meters, which sets an example for other communities in Spain, "because when we have elsewhere what is done in Murcia on housing for young people find it hard to believe, but yes, we have already shown in the last term and will continue doing this, with affordable housing for young Murcia. "
The forecast, Valcarcel said, "is that during this term overcome more than the number of homes that were built before."
In total, over the past five years, the Government of the Region of Murcia has been ongoing about 13,000 subsidized housing (VPO), mostly for young people under 35 years.

The homes are the result of the agreement for the transfer of land signed by the City of Pliego and the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, which was made available to the Housing and Land Institute, an organization responsible for promoting a solar of 2,850 square meters owned by the Consistory.
This promotion includes 44 apartments with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms with garages for storage and 95, all executed within 20 months since its interim statement.
Recipients of these are young people under 35 years, until now, had no home ownership and who meet all requirements established Youth Housing Plan 2003-2005 and the current 2005-2008, promoted by the Government regional.
In particular, only the Regional Youth Housing Plan, through the Housing and Land Institute, and through agreements made with the municipalities that have yielded ground to promote public housing, has been in progress many houses in the municipalities of White, Moratalla, San Pedro del Pinatar, Jumilla, Fortuna, and Molina de Segura.
In addition, these join the already planned or under construction in the towns of Alhama de Murcia, Bullas, Cieza, Cartagena, Torre Pacheco, Ulea, Yecla, Ceuta, Moratalla, Lorqui Mazarron and Murcia, and delivered today in Pliego.
Revitalization Plan impetus to social housing
On the other hand, besides the various existing Housing Plans in our region, the regional government is carrying out specific measures to boost social housing through the Revitalization Plan.
The first measure was launched in this regard is the decree that regulates the activities protected housing in the Region of Murcia, among other novelties, free housing to qualify as housing.
This Decree, which entered into force on 14 May, has meant that, in just two months, 1,496 applications were submitted qualifying housing in our region, thereby increasing the number of public housing by facilitating access to it by the citizens of the region, and promoting the status of this sector of the regional economy.
